Budgam gunfight: Intense clashes erupt, mobile internet, train service suspended

Intense clashes erupted between protesters and government forces in Chattergam area of Central  Kashmir’s Budgam district where a gunfight between militants and forces is underway.

Reports said that scores of protesters including women assembled and pelted stones on forces who responded to immense tear smoke shelling.

Meanwhile announcements on mosque loudspeakers are being made, asking others to come out.

People in large numbers from adjacent areas are also trying tomarch towards the encounter site.

Meanwhile, mobile internet service has been suspended in the district, while train service across Kashmir has also been suspended.
