ATM guard in Shopian accuses army of beating

An ATM guard of Jammu and Kashmir bank posted at Kundalan village of Shopian was allegedly beaten by an army on Wednesday in Shopian.

According to the reports, ATM guard was identified as Hilal Ahmad Parrey, 26, son of Abdul Qayoom, a resident of Kundalan Shopian was admitted in District Hospital Shopian with the marks of beating, bruises.

The official added that as per Parry’s version, an army patrolling party beat him ruthlessly while he was performing his duties during the intervening night of Wednesday and Thursday without any reason.

The area pertains to Army camp Nagishsharan Shopian within the area of responsibility of 34 RR.
