‘As world observes Human Rights Day, Kashmir continues to suffer’

Chairman Hurriyat Conference Mirwaiz Umar Farooq Monday appealed the world community to put an end to rights violations in Kashmir

Taking to his Twitter handle Mirwaiz appealed for help of world community to put an end to human rights violations in Kashmir,“As the world observes #HumanRightsDay today #Kashmir continues to suffer and simmer! Mothers mourning martyred teenaged sons !homes blown up,inmates on the road in biting cold !people thrashed beaten and harassed while most leadership detained.Appeal to all to help put an end…”he wrote.

Mirwaiz further said that in Kashmir political human rights continue to be violated.“While Universal Declaration of Human Rights continues to be the milestone for universal laws around the world. In #Kashmir, political and human rights continue to be violated. On this #HumanRightsDay, here are some reminders.” Mirwaiz tweeted.

The Joint Resistance Leadership (JRL) has called for a shutdown on Dec 10 against human rights violations in Kashmir. The leadership has also urged people to observe the day as black day.
