Army soldier injured in Pak firing along LoC in Poonch

An army man was injured after Pakistan army violated ceasefire in Krishna Gati (KG) sector along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch district of Jammu late last night, Kashmir Times reported.

Reports said that Pradeep Kumar Gupta of 5 Mahar was injured when Pakistani army opened ‘unprovoked’ fire on his post in Sonawali Gali in Mankote area of KG sector late Wednesday night.

“Pakistani army violated cease-fire and opened unprovoked fire from their forward post in Krishna Ghati sector. Indian army retaliated with equal caliber and the exchange of fire continued till early morning. The injured soldier was rushed to the nearby army hospital from where he was shifted to army hospital in Rajouri for treatment,” Kashmir Times quoted  army sources as saying.
