Amit Shah: All issues related to refugees will be solved by Modi government



Aiming 44+ in the state assembly elections that are scheduled to be held later this year the Bhartia Janta Party president Amit Shah who is on his maiden visit to Jammu and Kashmir after becoming the party president today said that issues pertaining to all refugees from 1947, 1965 and 1971 will be settled by the Narendra Modi government in a time bound manner.

However while addressing the people who migrated from the border areas in the wake of Pakistani shelling in R S Pura sector Shah said “the grant of voting rights in Assembly polls to refugees from West Pakistan falls within the domain of the state government and it alone has the power to accept this demand”

He also said that Omar Abdullah government days are numbered and BJP will soon come to power in the state. “BJP understands their pain and sufferings and have been with them.”

Appreciating the people for staying along the borders since 1947 despite heavy shelling by Pakistan time to time Shah said “It is their feeling of patriotism which is keeping them on the borders and I salute you for having this feeling.”

He added since Sunday night, two people have been injured in Pakistani shelling which spread to newer areas of Kanachak and Ramgarh apart from R S Pura and Arnia sectors.

Amit Shah is also scheduled to address a rally in Kathua later today where two-time Congress MP and former minister Lal Singh is also likely to join BJP.

Meanwhile clashes has broken out between National Conference (NC) and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) workers in RS Pura sector of Jammu district at a border displaced camp at boys higher secondary school in the area.
