Afridi wishes Indians on I-day


Maverick Pakistan all-rounder Shahid Afridi on Wednesday wished Indians on the independence of its nation saying that he hoped both India and Pakistan will work to resolve issues for peaceful region.

The star cricketer who has a fan following across borders wished that issues between the two nations were resolved and that cricket matches between the two rival nations be held.

Shahid Afridi took to his Twitter handle to convey the message to Indians, “Happy Independence Day to #India, our neighbors across the border. I sincerely hope that from this year onwards, both Pakistan and India work towards resolving their issues for a better, peaceful and prosperous region where India Pak cricket matches can also be frequently held,” he wrote.

India is celebrating her Independence Day today while as neighbouring Pakistan celebrated it yesterday.
