5 injured as clashes erupt after militant’s burial in Khudwani

At least five people received pellet injuries after they clashed with government forces in Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district on Wednesday.

Witnesses said that clashes between protesters and forces erupted in Khudwani soon after a local militant, Bilal Ahmad Dar, killed in Anantnag gunfight with forces was laid to rest.

They said hundreds of protesters clashed with forces near and around the SKUAST branch Khudwani,  adding that forces fired tear smoke shells and pellets to disperse the stone pelting protesters injuring at least five.

They said that injured were shifted to nearby hospital.
