Srinagar: Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir has raised concerns over the silence of Election Commission of India over the switching of electronic voting machines.
The PDP president termed the mainpulation of EVMs as another Balakot in the making,”Worrying that despite solid evidence about EVMs being switched,
@ECISVEEP hasnt clarified any of these concerns. A farcical wave backed by dubious exit polls followed by manipulating EVMs is another Balakot in the making.” She Tweeted.
Allegations have surfaced of electronic voting machines being tampered with in parts of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Punjab and Haryana, leading to protests outside voting machine storage rooms.
In eastern Uttar Pradesh’s Ghazipur, the Bahujan Samaj Party candidate held a sit-in outside the storage room for electronic voting machines (EVMs) last night. Afzal Ansari and his supporters claim there was an attempt to take out a vehicle full of electronic voting machines.
