Clashes erupt in Srinagar’s Parraypora area

Srinagar: Clashes broke out in Parraypora area of the Srinagar after youth took to streets to protest over the harassment of Kashmiris living outside the Valley on Monday afternoon.

Talking to The Kashmir Walla, a police official confirmed that the clashes were going on in Parraypora area of Srinagar. As per locals, youth amassed on roads and chanted slogans against the harassment and violence targeting Kashmiris. The clashes broke out soon after the police arrived at the spot and youth started pelting stones.

Meanwhile, the traffic on the roads has been disturbed due to ongoing clashes in the area.  The area is upper town of the city and is a hub of private coaching centres.
