Srinagar:Minister of Defence, Nirmala Sitharaman on Monday said that Army will airlift stranded passengers from Jammu to Srinagar and vice versa.

Earlier in the day PDP president Mehbooba Mufti had spoken to Nirmala and had said the former had assured her help,”Spoke to
@nsitharaman ji regarding passengers who have been stranded in Jammu for many days now. She has assured me that arrangements will be made to airlift them soon.” She had tweeted.
As the Kashmir highway remained shut down for sixth straight day scores of passengers are stranded in Jammu.
