Flights cancelled amid snowfall in Kashmir

Due to the extensive snowfall, all the scheduled morning flights were canceled at the Srinagar airport due to poor visibility.

The Airport Authority of India’s officials and airline executives said SpiceJet, Vistara, AirAsia, Air India, Jet Airways, GoAir, and IndiGo have canceled all their morning flights due to the presence of snow on the runway and poor visibility.

“Airlines who have flights scheduled for rest of the day are watching the situation closely,” said an official.

The flights’ movement was disrupted at the airport yesterday as well. Weatherman has predicted more rains and snow during the next 48 hours in the state.
