Srinagar: Kashmiri IAS officer Shah Faesal who resigned from the administrative service on Friday dismissed speculations that he was being used by the ‘deep state’ saying he had the testimonials to not be used by deep state or any political party.
The topper of 2010 IAS exams while responding to a question said that he had qualifications to say that deep state cannot use him, “I have the testimonials and qualifications to say that deep state cannot use me, I might end up using the state,” he said while acknowledging the ‘paranoia’ among youth.
Faesal who was addressing a presser in Srinagar while acknowledging that there was deficit between state and youth accepted that there is a sentiment in Kashmir that needs to be respected.
He further dismissed speculations over him joining any party in the near future, “As of now I have planned to the go to field, listen to youngsters, listen to whispers on the field, listen to the stake holders I will not be joining any party in the recent future.” He said.
He also ruled out joining the Hurriyat conference,”Hurriyat doesn’t give me the opportunity to change the system, so I cannot join them,”
He further said that he was not essentially trained to join politics. “I am a man from the system and I would be happy to change things by being in the system. Hurriyat doesnt give me that opportunity as they don’t believe in electoral politics.” Faesal explained.
