Srinagar: The youth wing of National Conference (NC) on Saturday said that the previous coalition government had declared war against the youth.
Salman Ali Sagar, Youth National Conference (YNC) Provincial President, hit out at former BJP-PDP government while addressing a convention at Dak Bungalow Anantnag.
Sagar said that the need of the hour was “to harness the energy, creativity and intellect of youth to give state a more meaningful future.”
The YNC convention was held in South Kashmir, which is considered as the stronghold of the rival PDP, and Sagar blamed PDP chief Mehbooba Mufti for the plight of the youth. He said said that the unjust and imprudent policies of the PDP led government pushed highly qualified youth towards “destruction.”
“Former BJP-PDP dispensation belittled the aspirations of youth,” said Sagar. “Due to their ill conceived policies, valley youth is at the forefront of violent distress. Never has Kashmir witnessed such manifest nepotism as was widespread during the last four years.”
