Baramulla in north Kashmir shuts for second day to mourn militant killings

Srinagar: A complete shutdown is being observed Friday in north Kashmir’s Baramulla district for the second day to mourn the recent militant killings.

Reports said that all shops and commercial establishments are shut in the town while public transport is mostly off the roads.

Thee Lashkar-Toiba militants were killed on Wednesday in Binner area of Baramulla district in a gunfight with government forces.


The slain, were identified as Suhaib Farooq Akhoon, son of  Farooq Ahmad Akhoon, a resident of Khanpora Baramulla; Mohsin Mushtaq Bhat, son of Mushtaq Ahmad Bhat, a resident of Qazi Hamam Baramulla; Nasir Ahmad Darzi, son of Mohammad Amin Darzi, a resident of Sangrampora Batpora Sopore, at present in Jamia Qadeem Baramulla.
