Srinagar: A 19-year-old student allegedly tried to end her life by jumping in river Jehlum at Chankhan area of Sopore in North Kashmir’s Baramulla district on Tuesday after failing in Class XII examination.
According to reports she took the extreme step to end her life this morning after she failed in class 12th examination.
Reports said that she was saved there by some fishermen and was rushed to Sub District hospital Sopore where she is under treatment.
Hospital authorities identified her as Mariya Bashir daughter of Bashir Ahmad resident of Batpora Sopore.Meanwhile police took cognizance of this incident.(KNO)
