Panchayat polls: Till noon Budgam records lowest turnout, Baramulla highest

Central Kashmir’s Budgam district recorded a voter turnout of 6.5%  while  north Kashmir’s Barmulla recorded the highest turnout till 12 noon – 43.6%.

In Kupwara district the voting was recorded 33.7% while in its neighboring district Bandipora it was recorded 10.8%.

In Srinagar district, 7.7% exercised their franchisee.

Meanwhile, in Jammu division, Jammu district has recorded highest percentage 64.9% till 12:00 while 64.8% voting has been recorded in the Samba district.

The other districts Rajouri, Kathua, and Reasi have recorded a turnout of 60.5%, 63.5% and 62.0% respectively.

Amid shutdown, the elections are underway in the Valley.
