Srinagar: Continuing the fury of winters, Kashmir’s capital city Srinagar on Friday recorded -4 degree Celsius – coldest night of this season.
“The temperatures dropped due to clear night sky,” said the MeT officials. “During the next 48 hours, the state’s higher reaches are likely to receive light snow as a Western Disturbance is expected to become active during this period.”
The minimum temperatures in Pahalgam and Gulmarg were minus 6.0 degrees Celsius and minus 6.2, respectively.
Meanwhile, the likely warmer regions of state, Jammu city recorded 7.3 degrees Celsius, Katra and Batote 7.5, Bannihal 5.2 and Bhaderwah 0.5 as the night’s lowest temperatures.
