JK bank employees stage protest in Srinagar

Employees of Jammu and Kashmir Bank continued to protest demanding the rollback of the government decision to turn the bank into a Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) on Sunday.

Scores of employees of the bank on Sunday  staged a protest outside the Head office of the bank at Maulana Azad road in Srinagar  demanding  revocation of order passed by the State Administrative Council (SAC).

The protesting employees were carrying placards reading ‘Roll Back SAC decision’ and shouting slogans like ‘Roll back Roll back SAC decision Roll back’.

The protesters have decided to continue protests, until the order is not revoked.

Meanwhile Former J&K CM Mehbooba Mufti and National Conference working President Omar Abdulllah, also opposed the decision of governor led administration for turning J&K bank a PSU.

Hurriyat leader Mirwaiz Umar Farooq has also said that New Delhi was hitting the economy of the Kashmir.
