Srinagar: Former lawmaker and People’s Democratic Party (PDP) leader Abid Ansari says he has quit the PDP long back.
He said, “No doubt I have not yet submitted my resignation to JKPDP but I have said adios long back!”
Ansari further added on micro-blogging site Twitter that he has had issues with PDP, “right from the day Mufti sb passed away. All the promises made to me by him were broken by Mehbooba Mufti.”
Ansari is uncle of Imran Reza Ansari, who has already left the PDP and joined Sajad Lone led People’s Conference (PC) last month. It is likely that Abid Ansari is about to Lone ahead of the coming assembly elections.
He accused that Mufti was suggested such things by “near ones who broke the party into pieces.”
“A party that does not know the art of keeping it’s members united have no moral ground to fight the upcoming elections. Leadership is not about the next election, it’s about the next generation,” he added.
