Forces open fire in Pulwama, civilian injured

Srinagar: A civilian was injured in when the government forces opened fire in Pulwama on Saturday evening.

Suspected militants attacked 55 Rashtriya Rifles of Indian army patrolling party at Nilora village of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district on Saturday evening.

The attacked was retaliated with gunshots injuring the civilian. He was identified as Bashir Ahmad Mir.

Senior Superintendent of Police (Pulwama) Chandan Kohli said that the area was cordoned off and a search operation was launched shortly after the militant attack.
