Srinagar: People’s Democratic Party (PDP) chief Mehbooba Mufti on Friday said that ahead of elections people do come and leave political parties.
Mufti was addressing media persons at her Srinagar residence, in which she said that if the Governor’s administration can give status of Hill Development Council to Ladakh then we demand it should be done for Chenab valley and Pir Panchaal also.
“If they are not willing to consider Chenab valley and Pir Panchal, we will start a peaceful agitation in this regard,” she said.
“As you all know that since the Governor’s rule has been imposed here many decisions have been taken, which are against the policies of state. We thought he being a politician will be very cautious about the sensitivity of the state but unfortunately everyday some order is passed. Due to that everyday people and some political parties are feeling worried,” she said.
Adding further, she said, why is he passing these orders in such hurry. “It seems there is some behind this, whose agenda is being taken ahead, but I hope he is not behind this.”
The Governor admiration is trying to worsen the already tense situation in Kashmir by announcing many orders that go against the interest of the state. Like they announced to repeal of Roshini act, treating JK bank as PSU and more.
Replying to a question of some leaders quitting the PDP, more recently former finance minister Haseeb Drabu on Thursday, Mufti said that she feels sad that Drabu has quit the party, recalling how much hopes Late Mufti Muhammad Sayeed had from him when he joined the party.
