Srinagar: After brief suspension, the trade via Line of Control (LoC) between Srinagar and Muzaffarabad resumed on Friday.
As per an official, the cross-LoC trade resumed today morning when 26 trucks from Srinagar side started their journey.
The trade was suspended on Thursday after shelling along the LoC between the Indian and Pakistani forces in Uri area of North Kashmir’s Baramulla district.
Reports had said that trade authorities in Uri said decided to stop the movement of goods between the two parts of Kashmir today.
Adding that since the area of shelling is close to Kaman Post, the authorities decided to suspend the trade.
Two soldiers were injured in the cross-LoC firing.
