Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) chief Mehmood Shah on Saturday accused forces of committing severe war crimes by using chemical weapons in Jammu Kashmir.
A spokesperson of LeT Dr Abdullah Ghaznavi in a statement issued quoted Shah as saying that United Nations and the international human rights organizations must end their silence on Kashmir.
“The world has denied the biasness of international institutions. Given the poor plight of Muslim world, Muslims are ignored whereas the concerns of justice to Christians, Jews, Hindus and other communities are prioritized,” Shah said.
He said the way in which Mukhtar Ahmed from Budgam and Muhammad Amin from Pampore were killed “by use of chemical weapons” by Indian forces, “the incident is evident enough to support the claim that India is using chemical carnage against Kashmiris”.
“The chemical carnage from Indian forces is a challenge for the United Nations and international human rights organizations. If Indian forces and their ruthless mechanism are not put to stop, then the world will be in no position to label us as terrorists,” LeT cheif said.
Meanwhile, Mehmood Shah has paid tribute to Jamiyat Ulma-e-Islam leader Maulana Sami-ul-Haq saying, “His martyrdom is a part of global conspiracy.”
“The infidels do not want peace, tranquillity and unity among the Muslim Ummah. They wish to eliminate all those entities who strive to eliminate the sectarianism,” he said.
Talking about the “glorious” life led by Maulana Sami-ul-Haq, Lashkar chief said that the late leader devoted his life to the great cause of Islam and Muslim Ummah.
“He always played a pivotal role in confronting the global conspiracies against Pakistan. He was a shining star of Muslim Ummah and was always seen as a thorn to the infidels,” he said. (GNS)
