Idea of grand alliance gave such jitters, says Mehbooba after Guv dissolves assembly

Soon after the Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Satya Pal Malik announced the decision of dissolving the state legislative assembly, the war of words has begun on the social media. Taking to Twitter, former Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti, claimed that she approached the sitting governor multiple times requesting to dissolve the assembly but “oddly enough our pleas fell on deaf ears.”

Mufti, the president of Jammu and Kashmir People’s Democratic party (JKPDP), took a dig at the central-appointed governor’s office saying, “In today’s age of technology, it is very strange that the fax machine at HE Governor’s residence didn’t receive our fax but swiftly issued one regarding the assembly dissolution.”

Mufti addressed her grievances in a series of 4 tweets. She also said that she believed she has seen everything in her twenty-six-year-old political career, but this action has come across as – “Never say never.”

She also took this opportunity to express her gratitude to National Conference’s (NC) leader Omar Abdullah for helping her party to achieve the seemingly impossible.

Satyapal Malik dissolved the assembly this evening. The decision came after the news of uniting “thrid-front” started doing rounds in the media.
