“For the sake of God, allow my son to return,” appeals father to militants

Srinagar: In an emotional appeal father of Ehtisham Bilal who has reportedly joined militant ranks has asked the militants to return him to his family.

In a video that has gone viral on social media, Bilal Ahmad Sofi can be seen appealing to militant outfits across Jammu and Kashmir to allow the safe return of his son, “I request ISJK to allow my son join back his family,” Sofi says in the video.

Citing Quran and Hadith the emotional father flanked by his wife and daughter says that Islam does not permit Jihad without permission of parents. “Quran categorically talks about rights of parents and obeying parents is obligatory,” Sofi explains.

“I appeal to all the militant outfits of Kashmir, especially ISJK please allow my son to return. For the sake of God and his prophet, please return him back. Even if he is not willing to return, please bring him back,” Sofi requests in the video. “Our tears have dried up now we are all suffering. With everyday we are suffering even more. Don’t these people (militant outfits) understand what we are going through?”

He further goes on to add that if the militants don’t bring him back they better burn down their house and kill them all.

Ehtisham Bilal, 23, in couple of videos announced his joining of militant group ISJK. He was beaten up by students in Noida’s Sharda University a few days before he went missing.

Bilal a resident of Srinagar’s Khanyar area was missing since 28 October.

Ever since his missing the family has been appealing to militant outfits to return him.
