Former chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir on Saturday called on the governor to ensure that forces are made accountable for protecting civilians.
The PDP president was commenting on the killing of a Budgam youth who was killed outside an army camp in Chattergam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district.
She said that she was deeply disturbed by the killing of the civilian and governor to ensure that forces avoid collateral damage,“Deeply disturbed by the news of killing of a youth in Budgam this evening. Urge Guv Malik to strictly ensure that forces are made accountable for protecting civilians and avoiding collateral damage. My condolences to bereaved family,” tweeted Mehbooba Mufti.
She also demanded an inquiry into the incident. She also sought compensation to the kin of the slain youth.
Ishfaq Ahmad a resident of Magraypora Chattergam who was injured in a firing incident near an army camp in Chattergam area of central Kashmir’s Budgam district last night succumbed to his injuries at SKIMS Soura on Saturday.
