A complete shutdown is being observed in north Kashmir’s Sopore town on Friday, to mourn the killing of a local militant Naseer Teli, killed in a gunfight with government forces at Sagipora area of Handwara.
Strict restrictions have been imposed by the authorities in the town to prevent any protests over the militant’s killing.
Reports said all the shops and business establishments are closed in the town. Authorities have asuspended mobile internet service and closed educational institutions in the area.
Teli a resident of Gulabad Aarampora of Sopore, was killed in late night shootout by government forces in North Kashmir’s Sagripora area.
Meanwhile, clashes have erupted between government forces and youth in the Aarampora area of Sopore.
