Thousands of people participated in the funeral of slain Hizbul Mujahidin militant Shabir Ahmad Dar at his native village Samboora of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Witnesses said that thousands of people from Pulwama and other south Kashmir districts participated in the funeral procession of Hizb militant who died in a gunfight at Babagund area of district Pulwama.
They said that men, women and children in hordes attended the funeral, adding that anti-india and pro-freedom slogans reverberated the funeral.
Witnesses told The Kashmir Walla that four to five militants appeared in the slain militants funeral and offered gun salute.
“They fired several rounds of bullets in air and fled the area immediately,” a local told The Kashmir Walla.
Dar was killed in a gunfight with government forces at Babgund area of Pulwama district.
