Several injured during clashes in Kulgam’s Redwani

At least six people were injured after clashes between government forces and youth erupted in Redwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.

Reports said that forces resorted to tear gas shelling and pellet firing to foil pro-freedom demonstrations that were staged  shortly after the funeral of four militants killed in Arwani area of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.

Talking to The Kashmir Walla chief medical officer district hospital Kulgam/ Anantnag, Dr. Fazil Kochak said that at least six people were injured and are being treated in the hospital.

One of the injured has received fire arm injury, the injured has been identified as Faizan Rashid Sheikh a resident of Rampura Kulgam.
