Once again, on Friday, four more militants were buried in South Kashmir, with thousands of people attending their funeral processions in their native villages. Mothers, sisters, brothers, fathers, and relatives and neighbors attended the funerals. As more than 30 militants have been killed in last few weeks in Kashmir, funeral processions have become a daily affair. At each funeral, mothers of the militants climb onto the stage, to sit next to their killed sons, wailing and lying there for as long as the last few moments could last.

On Friday, The Kashmir Walla traveled to Arwani and Hawoora villages of South Kashmir to attend the funeral processions of Sahir Ahmad Makroo and Owais Ahmad Lone – both the militants were killed in a gunfight on Thursday afternoon by the government forces. Two more militants were identified as Muzamil Magray and Amir Tantray.
