Three Militants have been killed in the ongoing encounter that erupted between militants and government forces in the Nai Basti, Kharpora area of Arwani in south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, The Kashmiriyat reported.
Quoting officials The Kashmiriyat reported that 1 RR of Indian Army, SOG of Jammu Kashmir Police and CRPF had jointly launched the anti militancy operation in the area.
During the CASO, forces were fired upon by militants which triggered an encounter, in the ensuing gunfight three militants have been reportedly killed.
Initially three Militants from south Kashmir were believed to be trapped in the residential house of Mohammed Ismail in the Nai Basti area,
Meanwhile massive clashes have erupted in the area as hundreds of locals have poured onto the streets shouting pro independence slogans trying to march towards the gunfight site.
As per the latest reports, the intermittent exchange of gunfire is still on.
