Terrorising civilians shameful, won’t intimidate Kashmiris, says Mirwaiz

Mirwaiz Kashmir Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Monday lashed out at the forces action in Pulwama village terming the acts of vandalizing and intimidation as tactics of terrorizing civilians.

Mirwaiz took to his Twitter handle to express his anger, “As Amarnath Yatra ends more than 20 villages of South Kashmir under massive cordon and search operation. Forces went berserk, in Murran, Pulwama one civilian Fayaz Ahmed shot dead by forces, more than 25 injured as people came out to resist the operation to harass them. Terrorising civilians is shameful, these tactics will  not intimidate people of #Kashmir,”  he wrote.

Earlier, a 22-year-old Fayaz Ahmad Wani, son of Mohammad Ahsan Wani, a resident of Chewa Kalan Pulwama was killed after army opened fire on protesters during clashes and two others sustained injuries.
