A  shutdown is being observed for the fifth consecutive day in North Kashmir’s Bandipora over the killing of five militants in a gunfight near Shogbaba village of Sumlar.

Reports  said that a complete shutdown is being observed with shops and business establishments being closed even as the  movement of private vehicles on roads is thin.

On the first day of gunfight two militants were killed following with three more the next day, concluding the operation with a total of five militant killings, who were later buried in Gantmulla, Baramulla.

However the militants turned out to be  local after Hizb came out with a statement identifying all the five militants as locals.
