17 receive pellet injuries in South Kashmir’s Shopian

At least seventeen people have suffered pellet injuries in the clashes between government forces and youth by in Laddi village in  south Kashmir’s Shopian district.

Reports said that 13 of the injured, who had received pellet injuries in government forces action, were taken to sub-district hospital Shopian while three others were also taken to public health centre (PHC) Zainpora.


Meanhwile, two of the injured with serious pellet injuries were referred to Srinagar’s SMHS hospital for advanced treatment.

Protests erupted in  Laadi this morning when special operations group (SOG) of police, army’s 44 RR and CRPF troopers started a CASO in the village.

Government forces used pellets and tear smoke shells after protests escalated in the village.
