Police on Sunday claimed to have cracked murder of a Budgam inhabitant saying the deceased was killed by the accused on account of affair with his sister.
A police spokesman said that investigations revealed that the motive for commission of crime was a grudge against deceased, on account of affair of deceased with sister of one of the accused.
SSP Budgam Tejinder Singh told The Kashmir Walla that the deceased was killed by the brother of the girl he had been in relationship with, ” Girl’s brother along with two others killed him,” he said.
The spokesman said that on 27th of June 2018, Police Station Chrar-i-Sharief received a missing report from the father of the slain, “Ghulam Mohammad Dar of Watkulu filed a complaint regarding missing of his son namely Samir Ahmad Dar who was missing from 24th of June 2018,” he said.
Adding that the body of the slain youth was fished out from irrigation dam Yousmarg on 10th of July 2018, “ On the basis of evidence, a case FIR number 43/2018 under section 302 RPC was registered and investigation was initiated. To crack the case, a SIT headed by SDPO Khansahib Shri Mohammad Aftab Awan was constituted,” the spokesman said.
He said that during the course of investigation, three accused persons identified as Shahid Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar resident of Nasarpora Shopian, Habibullah Dar son of Ghulam Qadir Dar and Shahid Ahmad Dar son of Ghulam Mohammad Dar, both residents of Doonkulpathri were found involved in commission of the crime and were arrested.
After following the due procedure of law, the investigation report would be submitted before the competent Court of law for trial by Budgam Police.
