UJC condemns forces action against militant families

Conglomerate of local militant outfits United Jihad Council has condemned Forces action against the families of militants.

The conglomerate has also condemned the police raids on militant families and subsequent arrest of their relatives.

In a statement to  issued to local  news gathering  agency, the United Jihad Council Spokesperson Syed Sadaqat Hussain while asking International Human Rights organizations to take serious note of atrocities in Kashmir said that instead of facing militants, the forces are targeting their families.

“The raids on militant families in Tral indicates that Forces are helpless before the militants. The faorces are violating rights by arresting the brothers and fathers of militants,” the spokesperson said.

He also condemned the arrest of Class 11th student Fayaz Ahmed Parray and said that forces are intentionally jeopardizing his education career.

Earlier, police during the intervening night of Tuesday and Wednesday  conducted nocturnal raids in Tral area of Pulwama district and arrested several residents including father and a brother of an active militant.(With inputs from CNS)
