Two Sikh girls kidnapped from Chattisingpora, rescued

Two Girls belonging to the minority Sikh community were rescued after being kidnapped by unknown person from their village in Chattisinghpora village of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district, The Kashmiriyat reported

According to the report the  two girls (names with held) were returning from school on Tuesday when unknown persons travelling in a Maruti car sprayed some chemical on their face.

Following which the duo fell unconscious. The report added  they found themselves in Srinagar when they regained their senses, “ The duo raised alarm and shouted loudly following which locals gathered near the spot, the kidnappers fled immediately from the spot,” Police Officials were quoted as saying by The Kashmiriyat.

Later the duo was rescued by the locals of that area who informed the families of the two girls following which , the locals of Chittsinghpora  reached the Srinagar locality and brought back the Girls..

The Jammu Kashmir Police has registered an FIR number 55/2018 in this regard and an investigation has been taken up.
