Srinagar Gunfight: Mobile internet snapped in the district

Mobile internet services have been snapped across Srinagar on Sunday morning, following a shootout between the militants and the government forces in Batmaloo locality of the city.

Talking to media, an official said that the services have been suspended as a “precautionary measure” in the district.

Late in the last night, government forces laid off a cordon after specific inputs of the militants’ presence, which led to an encounter between hiding militants and government forces this morning.

By the time this report was filed, at least five govt forces’ personnel were injured, including the death of a constable.
