A complete shutdown is being observed in the Kashmir valley on second straight day  in response to a call given  by resistance leaders against challenging the validity of Article 35A of the Constitution in the Supreme Court.

The Supreme Court is scheduled to hear a bunch of petitions against the Article 35-A which gives special status to the state and  permanent residents of the state while  providing special rights and privileges to them.

Reports reaching here said that from shops to  business establishments and educational institutions everything is  closed across the Valley while all kinds of transport is off the roads due to the strike.

Meanwhile authorities have imposed strict restrictions in old town areas of Srinagar as “a precautionary measure.”

Reports of complete shutdown have reached from all the ten district headquarters of the valley.

Adding that even  inter district transport services are shut while roads present a deserted look.
