Thousands of people including men and women on Wednesday participated in the last rites of Lashkar-e-Toiba militant Bilal Ahmad Dar at his native Sofi Mohalla in Khudwani area of south Kashmir’s Kulgam district.
Sources said that two rounds of funeral prayers were held for the slain militant in Khudwani village. Thousands of people participated in the prayers, he said.
Adding that the first funeral of the slain was lead by his father.
Amidst pro-freedom and pro-Islam slogans raised by the mourners as the body some armed militants appeared at the funeral of slain militant and offered a gun salute to their associate.
Dar was killed along with associate during a gunfight with the government forces in Mehmaan Mohalla area of Lalchowk of south Kashmir’s Anantnag district.
