Srinagar: The state government has appointed defence lawyer of the accused in the infamous rape and murder case of Minor Kathua girl as additional advocate general.
Aseem Sawhney, who is fighting the case of some of the accused , was appointed additional advocate general by the law department.
Earlier, Sawhney, has also served as deputy advocate general in the J&K high court, Jammu.
Sawhney is the defence counsel of some of the accused , who are accused of raping and murdering an eight-year-old girl in Rasana village of Kathua district of the state of Jammu and Kashmir.
