Hundreds of people on Monday attended the funeral procession of slain CRPF trooper at Naira village of south Kashmir’s Pulwama district.
Witnesses said that hundreds of mourners including men and women from Pulwama , assembled in Niara village for the last rites of the slain CRPF constable, Naseer Ahmad Rather, son of Wali Mohammad, a resident of Naira Pulwama.
They said that a couple of thousand people attended the funeral.
The slain trooper who is survived by a wife and four year old child belonged to 182 Batallion of CRPF.
Rather was shot dead on Sunday evening, after suspected militants barged inside his house and fired upon him. He was immediately shifted to district hospital Pulwama in critical condition where he was declared brought dead.
