The first batch of 820 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir left for Saudi Arabia on Saturday morning to perform the annual Hajj pilgrimage in the four Air India flights.
Over 10,000 pilgrims from the state will go for Hajj this year.
Pilgrims reached to Srinagar Hajj House in Bemina, from where special buses took them to the Srinagar International airport early morning.
The first batch of pilgrims after performing Hajj will return on 25 August and the last flight will come back on 7 September.
The last pilgrims are expected to leave from Srinagar on July 25.
