Midnapore: More than twenty people were injured on Monday after a portion of make shift tent collapsed as Prime Minister Narendra Modi began addressing a rally in West Bengal’s Midnapore, triggering panic among people, Media reports said.
Modi promptly asked everyone to remain cautious. At least 20 people were reported to have suffered injuries in the incident.
He directed the SPG to look after, and attend to those affected by the tent collapse. After completing his speech, the prime minister immediately rushed to meet injured persons at a nearby hospital.
