Shujaat Bukhari: PCI says journalists’ lives aren’t safe

The Press Club of India issued a statement saying that the killing of Shujaat Bukhari shows that lives of journalists are not at all safe.

The statement read, “Press Club of India is shocked and saddened by this mindless terror attack that claimed the life of Shujaat Bukhari in the holy month of Ramzan”

It added, “Forces inimical to restoring peace in Kashmir Valley have silenced a voice of reason, logic and peace.”

In the evening, Shujaat Bukhari, editor of Rising Kashmir was shot dead outside his office in the Press Enclave in Lal Chauk.
