Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir asks India to build a conducive atmosphere for talks

Mirwaiz Qazi Ahmed Yasir, while addressing a big gathering in south Kashmir, said that Indian state has to build a conducive atmosphere for talks, otherwise, the dialogue process will be a futile exercise, within none or few on board, not a sentiment.

Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir, chairman of Ummat-e-Islami added, “if India wants to talk just because militancy is Growing, it would be another setback and then it would be tough to find any takers for dialogue,”

In a statement issued by the spokesperson of Ummat-e-Islami, Qazi Yasir also demanded the immediate release of Sarjan Barkati and said that he is becoming a victim of political vengeance.

Addressing gathering at Jamia Masjid about the inhumane behaviour of  Indian Forces, he also said that the ongoing violent situation only indicates two things; either the Army is not in control of Central Government who have been wanting a ceasefire, or it may be that the Central Government is lying to us.

The Indian state has to at least show Kashmiri people that the dialogue this time around is not merely to contain the ground situation and contain Militancy, but to find a concrete solution to the Kashmir Issue, Mirwaiz Qazi Yasir said.
