Militants attack army camp in North Kashmir’s Hajin

Militants have launched an attack on an army camp in Hajin area of north Kashmir’s Bandipora district on Tuesday.

Reports coming in say that the militants opened fire on army’s 13 RR camp around 8:30 pm in Hajin, which also has a police station and SOG camp in the vicinity. In retaliation army opened fire, triggering an exchange of fire.

As per reports, militants fired UBGL grenades and the exchange of fire continued till this report was updated. Sources say it could possibly be a Fidayeen attack.

Meanwhile, local sources said that announcements were made via public address system asking people to come out on streets following which clashes erupted near the site.
