The Kashmir Solidarity Forum asked for the ‘stringent punishment’ for the Kathua Rape accused in a press release issued on the 9th death anniversary of Asiya and Neelofar, victims of the infamous Shopian double rape and murder case.

The group of activists under the banner of Kashmir Solidarity Forum, said, ‘We are keeping a watch on the Kathua case and the investigation into Major Gogoi’s case. We are wary of the past when nothing has happened even after detailed investigations have taken place.’

On pointing out Shopian, Kunan Poshpora and ‘100’s of sexual assault cases’, the forum said that these cases will always remain a dark bolt on the face of ‘democratic’ India.
