Court of Inquiry ordered against Major Gogoi after Army chief assures strict action

baglihar blast, ramban,

Moments after Indian Army Chief General Bipin Rawat said that that exemplary punishment would be given to Major Leetul Gogoi if he was found guilty of any offence related to the controversy that erupted on May 23, Court of Inquiry (CoI) has ordered against him.

A two-member Court of Inquiry panel will probe the matter and recommend what action should be taken against the Major if he is found guilty of involvement in any unlawful activity.

Major Gogoi along with one of his colleague and a teenage girl were detained by police for questioning from a hotel in Srinagar after the Major and his colleague entered an argument with the hotel staff over the denial of a room there despite booking it online.
