A twenty-six-year-old youth died on Monday after he collapsed during an Army recruitment rally in Doda district, according to PTI report.
Police said, Yogeshwar Singh, collapsed while undergoing screening test at a recruitment rally of Territorial Army. The youth was taken to hospital where doctors declared him brought dead.
Prima facie it seems that the youth may have suffered a heart attack, police said, adding the reason behind the death is being investigated.
Earlier, clashes between police and aspirants broke out at the Territorial Army recruitment rally in Talwara belt of Reasi district. According to police, aspirants rushed towards the entrance in large numbers while those rejected started pushing each other on the way out.
Police resorted to mild cane charge as the crowd clashed with them in which five persons including a cop and a woman suffered minor injuries, they said, adding that the situation was brought under control and the screening of aspirants is underway.
